The hotel is situated on the ring road of the city. A young english speaking receptionist checked us in. We wanted to use the spa, but unfortunately the Spa was closed after 18:00. Our room was on the backside of the hotel. It has a balcony, but the view is not very inspiring. Room is quite large and so is the bathroom, but unfortunately had an annoying cigarette smell. It was fully booked, so no possibility to move. Once it became dark the large pipes on the back of the building started to produce a lot of noise. Annoyingly it had a high pitched wine and a lower rumbling sound. Impossible to sleep through. The lack of airconditioning made it worse as we could not open the window because of the noise. Breakfast was very basic. Some instant coffee or tea, slices of bread, jam and salads. Quite Ukrainian, but very little of it and not very tasty. There is nothing great about the hotel, but also nothing really bad. Expect to get a place to sleep and nothing else. I think we had bad luck with our room being next to those pipes. I guess six or so rooms suffer from this issue. I would recommend only staying here when other hotels in this price range are sold out. Even when passing by I would still opt for a hotel in Zhytomyr itself as it's just a small city where you'll be out in minutes. Book this hotel and make sure your room is not next to the pipes running at the back of the building. Check the Spa opening times with them too. They are not what is published on their site or on booking sites. Same with bar and restaurant, those were not operating when we arrived, but from the looks of it they sometimes do. Road from Kyiv to Zhytomyr is perfect. New road as you would find anywhere in Western Europe or even better.
