Poet Art Hotel

Классное расположение. Потрясающий по красоте дом. Чисто. Комфортно. Но НУЖНО поменять ковролин(( Excellent location. Beautiful building. Clean and neat. Comfortable. But you have to change toom carpet.

Firstly don't let the first impressions put you off - yes, the establishment is on the third floor of a on older building and the common area of the building is tired... but that's pretty much the only negative. There are no common areas as such but each room is very well appointed and uber clean in a crisp modern but understated style. Powers showers, good internet and the most comfortable beds in Ukraine tie up the deal and the staff were all pleasant and helpful.

We found Poet Art Hotel in Odessa from the Booking.com site and booked a double room for one night. The hotel claimed free parking service and 24/7 reception service. One day before our booking, the manager/owner of the hotel, sent a message to us, asking about the time of arrival. I answered that we are rather to arrive late afternoon, coming from Moldova, because we had information that the road was not good. Also, I asked from the manager to find a place of parking for our car. She answered that she can not do this, although the hotel claims free parking space! Everything went fine with our trip and we entered Odessa at noon. We found the address of the hotel, but there was only a building with residencies at this address. We asked the neighbouring shops about the hotel but nobody knew anything about its existence! We saw a small sign with the word "Poet" and we entered the building, hoping that we shall find something. It was dark, with a dirty staircase and broken stairs. We searched every appartment and ringed all the bells on all the floors without any answer, and there was not any sign anywhere, so we had to go and find another hotel. In the same evening the manager sent a new message asking us when we were going to arrive!! What must have happened, was that she, thinking probably that we are going to be late, went away for her business or shopping, so we could not find her. We protested to Booking about these, and they charged us 50% for no show instead of 100%. I have the following remarks: 1. The hotel nowhere reports that it is an appartment in a residency and not a normal hotel. 2. There is not elevator and there is no way to carry our suitcases in that dark, broken stairway, to an upper floor (I have read later in some reviews that it is 3rd or 5th floor), except if we are backpackers, which we are not! 3. A 24/7 reception service is advertised but we did not find any one waiting for us. 4. There is not any sign indicating the presence of a hotel, and even the shops of this neighborhood do not know anything about it. 5. Finally, the hotel advertises a free public parking space but this is a cheat, you must search alone to find one, and no guarantee of security exists. We were fooled from good reviews of the "hotel", and perhaps the appartment could be good, but we never saw it, because of the unprofessional attitude of the manager/owner. We found another small very nice hotel near this supposed "Hotel", which was cheaper, in a decent building and with really free public parking space. They had reserved parking spaces in front of the hotel and an old man guarding this space, in conjunction with cameras inside the hotel. If you have a car avoid by any means Poet Art Hotel, because either you'll not find the next morning your car, or in a better version the licence plate will be missing asking from you money to get them back, as we have heard from several other travellers who experienced this in Odessa.

Very well appointed room, comfortable furniture. Excellent location. Hotel has 24 hour concierge and they are very polite and helpful. Breakfast in the morning is a nice touch, it consist of chocolate cruassion, yogurt and choice of coffee. The concierge will bring it to your room and you can enjoy it on your balcony. The only recommendation I have is to change carpet to laminate flooring. Would look so much better. Other then that, very nice.

Very cute clean bedroom, but in a dirty worn out building. So, this hotel is on the third floor of a very ugly building (no lifts available). But the room ended up being very cute, new and well decorated. I could consider staying there again: prices were amazing (a very basic breakfast is included). Location was also good enough for me!
