I won't lie, I had some reservations about the state we'd find this hotel to be in. From the pictures of its rather gaudy decor, it appeared to be the kind of place that would have been in its heyday in the 1960s. However, far from my expectations, the hotel was immaculately clean and the abundance of colour was bright and fresh rather than dull and faded. Our room was of adequate size, and well appointed with plenty of plug sockets and good lighting. The bathroom was basic, but also of a reasonable size. The only gripe here was that the taps were labelled incorrectly, which resulted in my friend indulging in an ice cold shower. I was fortunate enough to determine the error, but while my shower was nice and hot, the water pressure was nearly strong enough to blow my tackle off! (this was room 405 so take note if you stay there!) Customer service wise, we didn't really test the staff in any way as our stay was gladly uneventful, so I can't comment too much other than to say that everyone was friendly enough and the language barrier was minimal. Location wise, it was a little out of the centre, but only a five minute walk to the nearest metro station (palatu sporty). All in all. A perfectly reasonable stay, and I would return.
