Lengthy stay! Great place!

I stayed around two weeks. Excellent staff that helps with all needs. I don’t remember their names but I spoke with the very tall dark haired concierge and the blonde concierge. Both were extremely helpful. I needed a required Covid test (I was negative, it was just government rule for Americans) when entering Ukraine among other slightly unusual requests that they helped with. Very good staff. Also I dealt with a blonde woman at the front desk who was great too. There is no reason to pay more money and stay at an American brand hotel. This hotel is perfect and is very reasonably priced for the high quality.

Cozy place with great service

The hotel is not new but beautiful and atmospheric. Friendly and helpful staff, nice food, decent gym and spa. Due to COVID-19 they were forced to refuse from buffet breakfast, but this is our new reality.. Breakfast was still quite varied and very tasty. Thank you guys for your efforts and great hospitality.

High-end Hotel centrally located in Kyiv

The Opera Hotel is centrally located in Kyiv within walking distance of Khreshchatyk street and the Maidan square. The Opera offer free internet and has an adequate gym. I did not try any of the SPA facilities while I was there as I generally find, that when it comes to price versus quality, that hotels are offensively overpriced the Opera being no exception. There are plenty of great and easy to find massage and SPA options available within walking distance of the Opera Hotel. The breakfast buffet was replaced with an a la carte breakfast, served at the bar/restaurant area in front of the hotel, due to the COVID situation. The quality of the breakfast varied a bit according to day of the week, it was however generally of a high standard. The only drawback was that the breakfast was not available until 0800 and it generally took around 30-40 minutes before the food was served. You can however have a pre-ordered breakfast served at your room from after 0500 in the morning if you are in a hurry to get to work. I did not use the television as the free internet was more than adequate for streaming. BE AWARE that the free internet is an open non-secure internet, so use a VPN or a MI-FI to protect your devices. The rooms are spacious and well kept. All in all - The Opera Hotel is a high-end hotel, which is also reflected in the price, that deliver what is promised (and expected). If you are looking for a base during a longer stay in Kyiv I can highly recommend that you stay at the Opera Hotel.

Beautiful hotel, friendly staff, problems with bed and recommendations. King size bed was missing a top mattress pad and was hard as a rock. The front desk provided the pad on the second night after being requested. Secondly, do not accept restaurant suggestion because you are directed to friends of the hotel's place. The one I reserved at was terrible and I had to leave. Actually, dinner at the hotel's bar was excellent.

The hotel is small and situated on a side street, meaning that traffic is not really bothering you. Staff at the reception are friendly, competent and speak English well. The concierge is very capable and service-minded and can assist with small details, like where to change money, as well as more challenging tasks, such as providing hard-to-get opera and ballet tickets. Service in general is excellent. Rooms are well equipped and comfortable. The hotel restaurant is good and can compete with most other similar venues. Breakfast buffet is lavish and staff concerned about your well-being. On top of all, there is a cigar bar on the side of the entrance, where one can enjoy a good cigar in comfort and chose from a nice selection of drinks, especially from the better malt whiskies. I would rate this hotel the most agreable in Kyiv. That it is small is no drawback. You can walk to the Circus in 5-10 minutes and to the Opera in about 20 minutes.

A lovely boutique hotel with some great courteous staff and warm smiles

I stayed here for 5 nights recently on a leisure trip. This is a smaller boutique hotel but with a very warm, luxurious feel to it. Their staff is courteous, kind, warm and will help you in whatever way they can. The rooms are nice, spacious, luxuriously done and their housekeeping etc. is quite wonderful. The location of the hotel is a not ideal, it is a few minutes away from the Opera but you do need to Uber wherever you go or if you like walking, about 20 minutes walk would get you to the main street. I'd like to give them a perfect 5 because of their polite and wonderful staff, and also the overall feel of the hotel and rooms etc. I would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Kiev and would be sure to return whenever I visit again. My well wishes to the hotel and their entire well groomed staff.

Beauful Boutique Hotel set in a relatively quiet side road. As soon as you enter there is an air of calm, unlike some hotels where everything around reception seems busy and loud. The staff are attentive and polite both at reception, concierge and in the bar. English is spoken, despite previous reviews mentioning that they found conversation difficult. Our room (301) was large by city standards and very zen. Yes it’s a little distance out of all the mayhem but an Uber costs around £1.20 so it’s well worth it for the peace and tranquility this hotel has to offer. My advise, if you have a hectic lifestyle at home. Book it

Secure quality in quiet area

I have become a regular guest. Any guest looking for fancy bars or rooftops will be disappointed with the opera hotel. The opera offers solid quality, a good restaurant and excellent b’fast. It will appeal to people looking for spacious rooms and excellent services in a quiet area. Staff speaks perfect English and price quality is correct. Cannot confirm any quality issues mentioned by other people. This place merits recognition and recommendation.

it's a great hotel. i'v been here 3 times before, but every time i return it get even better. than before. the staff is great, the service is wonderful, and if you need hotel for dew days - it's my first choice in Kiev. the room is big enough, clean and nice, you will have everything you need for short stay, and also a small balcon which is nice. the shower is wonderful, great water preasure, the floor is heated - - real nice. you need to walk a little to get to the center but the taxi there so cheap - so use it. they also have a nice coffee shop near the entrance which is great. and the breakfast is very good.

More training needed to claim five stars

Overall had a delightful stay, but this is expected at this price point. Excellent breakfast, especially the extensive egg menu, friendly staff, quiet rooms, clean, fast WiFi, and a very decent gym and sauna. For the negatives, the check in for a my partner, who came later, was quite difficult even though I alerted them when she would be arriving. Took half an hour before she finally was let in the room. Also annoyed that they clean the towels each day as this makes them scratchy in the morning and is also a waste of resources and time. And that when we came back to the room after breakfast that the cleaning lady didn’t leave the room while we got ready for our day. As if it was her room more than ours. Hot tub should also be labeled a ‘warm’ tub. Otherwise the staff treated us well. The accommodations were fine, although a little dark and aged. Liked the location close to the opera and a slew of quality restaurants!
