Breakfast not to be rushed

Roughly ten years now i have been staying at Bakkara and the restaurant always turn out great food at any time of the day except breakfast! This has now changed Breakfast being the best meal of the day with so many choices and at any other time of day the food has just got even better if that was possible! Nice and friendly staff in the restaurant and all over the hotel, the bedroom was made up every day clean and very tidy throughout! i would also like to say a big thankyou to the boys and girls on reception for all there help over my stay in regarding helping me with my stay and my ongoing travels with all the problem with travel at the moment in the world!

Terrible hotel with rednecks and aggressive administrators

It is dangerous to be in the hotel because they organize weddings in which a drunken redneck beats up hotel guests, what exactly happened to us. After the incident, the hotel administration ignored all complaints, apparently this is a common thing that they have fights and it is absolutely unsafe there. After the attack, we filed a statement with the police and fixed body damages, but it seems the Kiev police doesn’t care about such cases, most likely we were not the first. After 2 days of stay at the hotel, the result is a cast s and a broken jaw. If your health, money and nerves are dear to you, never stay in a Bakkara hotel.

With 2020 turning out to be a bit of nightmare, it was very nice to return to Bakkara. Another great stay rooms were spotless. The restaurants food was just top notch great value food for what you are paying, the breakfast was a little bit up and down but a big improvement. The restaurant its self has changed in many ways all for the better and along with a great team of staff totally different then previous stays.

Great Value for good sized clean rooms

We booked in at the Bakkara hotel for 2 weeks stay. We had a garden view room but on the 1st night one club on the island nearby had a very loud party until 6am and our room unfortunately faced where the party was. On asking the staff the next day if we could change the room for a river facing room they were very helpful and moved us no problem. We found the rooms a good size and the staff very helpful. The bathroom is a little small but not uncomfortably so. The location is great for the summer but could be a little remote in the winter. We would defiantly stay here again.

I have stayed here a few times. Great hotel on a barge with an awesome view of the river. For those that enjoy room service, it is available and the food is good. Hydropark is a short walk away where you can access the water and eat food. Or just book an Uber and head into the city centre which is not that far away.
