Oh it could be so much better

Had a fair time at the resort recently - Mixed - I'll offer both positive/ negative elements. Positives - - I started in a cottage, quite spacious, well designed and looked very pretty from the outside. Bed comfortable. - Lunch and dinner options were good / well priced. - Enjoyed the indoor swimming pool - very nice - nice little slide too! - A good %%% of the staff very friendly / helpful. - Left toothbrush at home - A member of staff was happy and keen to sort this out for me! Likewise when I needed some documents printing - no bother at all. Negatives - - Sound quality in rooms. I was happy in the cottage to start with - turns out the next room to me must have been vacant. As soon as it was occupied, I could hear every single word quite loudly of the following guests. Now they were not shouting - However I didn't want to listen to them and I'm sure they didn't want to listen to me. You cannot relax and I don't pay money to listen to people in other rooms. A huge issue that needs rectifying as soon as possible. - Breakfast food quality was absolutely terrible. Sure, there was a choice, but the sausages, cheeses, etc - you could tell this was all cheap rubbish. Very disappointing. - Ice situation outside. Now I know ice/snow you cannot control - and appreciate it might not be the most fun task to sort out - however at times walking around anywhere was an absolute ice rink. Very unsafe and needed a properly clear path at ALL times / or a solution. I didn't want to break my leg or go to hospital, so I was often in my room. - Sauna costs. Embarrassingly high - infact - I've travelled to many a location and this was one of the worst. Why rip people off? 1 hour for the cost you were charging - is pathetic. Sure, if you don't want the facility to be used - then con people. I did enjoy my stay - but nowhere near to the level you'd hope to. I'd have absolutely zero interest in returning to this resort unless they sort out fundamental issues that desperately require solving. If these issues were fixed, happy to give this place 5/5. Good luck in the future.

Great place in the forest

This hotel exceeded our expectations as we expected to have something in USSR style but the property is very good styled and in good state. Here are some liked points: 1. The location is great (in the National park forest) 2. The styling is very good. 3. They have SPA and restaurant that work till late. 4. The staff is pleasant Disliked · 1. The magnetic room lock was not working properly. The service man told us just to use our magnetic key and try it in and out for some number of times to make the door locked. Really, this was annoying as this lock was nit locked after tens times of such manipulations.. This added pain to our relax time. 2. The room phone was not working or the reception girl was not answering and I had to go up and down hill to tell my request in person (while my door was not locked). 3. The SPA doesn't have any soap or toiletries and sanitizers. Towels are additionally paid.

Very good place in Kharkov Oblast

Overall very convenient place to stay with kids. Pros: 2 pools (indoor, outdoor), pleasant staff at reception, amazing nature, quiet, air conditioners in each room, overall clean. Cons: not the best mattress, well equipped, but still not good quality bathroom equipment, the bath was not superclean, the cuisine was not super, but still ok.

Nice experience after horrible road...

The place is a renewed resort from the Soviet Union period. You can both see it and feel it in the air. It's giant, has lots of activities to offer, nice forest area and a village restaurant not far from the hotel (the drinks there are much cheaper than in the hotel itself). I was there at a winter period, so couldn't really enjoy most of the attractions, but it looks like on summers this place is booming... The road from Kharkov is a disaster, take a soft pillow to put under your tuchas on your way there... Apparently a nice place to spent with your little (post)Soviet family... :-) (the staff at the reception is not so nice... :-(
