Very good if you don't mind the location

This hotel turned out to be quite a ways from the center, though depending on what part one is interested in, then this could mean just 10 minutes by cab. In the immediate vicinity there did not seem to be much, as it is a residential area. Reception staff was very helpful about ordering cabs and so on, even checking bus times for me on their own initiative, and it is doubtless on their account that I rate this hotel "very good" rather than "average" (notwithstanding my somewhat lower ratings below in individual categories). Restaurant staff on the other hand seemed a bit uncommunicative, if not downright surly. Perhaps in view of the low occupancy rate, there was no breakfast buffet here but rather a selection of four complete breakfast menus from which the guest picks one. Restaurant staff was unable to handle a vegetarian, let alone a vegan, and manifested zero interest the first morning in the fact that I left breakfast virtually untouched. Reception staff made some attempt to cope but the region is not exactly known for thinking outside the box when it comes to customer satisfaction. The aspect of this hotel that most appealed to me was the full gym in the basement. Internet worked okay.
