Marmara Deluxe Hotel

Professional and friendly staff, always glad to help. They gave us free water on demand (plus tea and coffee in the room), as well as a turkish delight box as a goodbye gift. The hotel is extremely well placed, within walking distance of the main tourist attractions (Topkapi Palace, Hagia Sophia, the Blue Mosque, the Grand Bazaar, etc.) and tram and ferry stations that take you to the Asian side of Istanbul. There are many dining options around and a minimarket (it closes pretty early though) right next to it. A few souvenir shops can be found near the hotel, mostly with lower prices than the ones in the Grand Bazaar. The breakfast was good, with plenty of options to satisfy anyone. Continental breakfast (omelette, sausages), fresh fruit and vegetables, yoghurt and cereal, biscuits and cake, but also some turkish cuisine and pastries. We stayed in a fifth floor room (don't worry, there is an elevator), with a surprising view (we could even see the Galata Tower in the distance). The room was spatious and clean, with ceramic tiles decorated with traditional turkish motif in the bathroom. Excellent value for the price and we would recommend this hotel to anyone that wants to spend a few days in Istanbul. Adrian C.

It was a nice time that we really enjoyed and keep in our memories. We've already been to Istanbul several times and can definitely say that Marmara is one of the best places to stay. The hotel is located in the very center of the Old City within 5 min walk from the most acknowledged places like Top Kapi, Aya Sofya and Sultan Ahmet Mosque. The staff members are kind and hospitable. Definitely a nice place to stay.

This was our first time staying at this hotel and certainly won't be our last. The location of this hotel couldn't be more perfect, we were in the district of Eminonu which is very buzzing area but our hotel street was calm so the difference was very nice. Right opposite our hotel was a host of restaurants and cafes that were amazing so for dinner we were spoilt for choice. The tram station was only a less than 5-minute walk which was convenient and the underground station was on the opposite road so it was perfect when we travelled to the Asian side. The hotel itself was very convenient, the rooms were clean and the staff were AMAZING. So nice and welcoming and really looked after us. Shout to Mustafa and Abdul Razzak who looked after us with their hospitality and gave us great advice for our travels. There were also other staff who were super helpful. Breakfast was good too, there wasn't lots and lots of options but certainly, it gave us a good start to the day and the kitchen staff were very nice and we noticed how clean they worked in the kitchen too. For a budget hotel, it went beyond our expectation which in part was largely due to how great the staff were to us. Really happy we stayed here and would definitely recommend this place.

We LOVED Marmara Deluxe. The location is amazing with just a 5 minute walk to Hagia Sophia, the Blue Mosque, the Basilicia Cistern and Topkapi (beware, this one is CLOSED on Tuesdays!!). In additional to all the nearby sights, there are a vast array of restaurants, a lot of them with roof terraces. You can walk down to the port within about 10 minutes (stopping for Turkish Delight on the way) and get a 20 minute ferry to Kadikoy for just 5 TL. The staff at the hotel were very helpful and happy. They arranged an airport transfer for us to Sadiha, in just 15 minutes, which made our journey to the faraway airport very smooth. The breakfast could have been better - not a lot of vegan options, mainly eggs/meat/cheesy things, though there were a few salads (pasta, rice, couscous) and of course, delicious bread. Lots of coffee and tea available, as well as a kettle and coffee/tea in the room which we very much appreciated. The room was very clean, though there were a few stains on our sheets and on one of the towels. The AC worked perfectly, and the shower was great. Would really recommend. We felt like we got a really good deal booking on Booking.com and would definitely recommend the Marmara. The lobby smelt so fresh, it was like walking into summer every time you returned from gallivanting around the city! Thank you, Marmara.

We were on family vacation in Istanbul and this hotel was the best decision that we have made. Hotel is excellent, very nice staff. The breakfast is delicious. The location of hotel is great. Looking forward to come again in Istanbul and ofcourse stay at Marmara deluxe hotel.
