Poppy Apartments

Its been a few years since we went hear & was very clean but not very big , so friendly owners are lovely . only thing i didnt like balconys are not private they are very open Its just out of main street but easily walkable

Back in Calis again, doesn't seem 12 months since last visit, Arrived just after 12 pm and greeted by Emre with a smile and lugging cases to room for us .As always room immaculate,everything you need till you get sorted. My birthday 1st full day we were there ,Mel baked surprise birthday cake, gorgeous.ReallyReally can't tell people what they are missing by continuing not to visit Turkey, and the Poppy in particular.2 weeks of meeting nice new people,and being totally chilled with Mel and the gang it just can't be beaten. All you need to do to join in the fun is contact the Poppy Apartments Calis Beach and speak to Mel ,I 100% guarantee that you will not regret it. If you do make the trip to the Poppy you must go on Mel's boat trip!!!,, Goes around the little bays ,stops for swimming, boat is immaculate, only people onboard from Poppy,so chance to make new friends, All sit together round big table for lunch ,prepared on board by captains wife with a selection of barbecued meat and traditional Turkish dishes delicious. On way back in ,weather permitting captain puts up 1 large sail and cuts engine(Doesn't sound much but sensation is just awesome!! Only sound of sea and wind incredible.a full day at sea for approx 40 lira(£10) each. New experience for us this year 2 seater 3 wheeler electric scooters brilliant 250 lira deposit ,50 lira(approx £11 ) for 12 hours ,fully charged ready to go no restriction great fun.

This was our third visit to Calis Beach but our first visit to Poppy Apartments. It was my birthday on the day we arrived and unbeknown to me my partner had been in contact with Mel who had put up banners in the room and a lovely bunch of flowers in a vase. The fridge was also stocked with water, milk and two bottles of Efes. Poppy Apartments are very spacious, comfy bed and the kitchen area has lots of space to prepare meals. We ate breakfast every morning on one of our balconies one of which overlooked the pool and the other overlooked the very well kept gardens. The pool was cleaned every day and we had clean sheets and towels twice a week. Mel and her family are very helpful and nothing seems to be too much trouble. Location is good, only about a 5 minute walk to shops and 10 minute stroll to the beach. All in all it was a lovely holiday and we're already planning a return trip.

Just returned from our first ever holiday to Turkey, what an amazing time we had. Poppy apartments are a true gem, great location, just a short walk to the shops, restaurants and the beach. Mel and her sons can't do enough for you, on arrival we were met by Emre, who kindly carried our suitcases up to our first floor apartment. Apartments are a good size with 2 balconys overlooking the pool and gardens, clean with sheets/towels changed every other day. Everybody was so friendly both guests and staff making our stay a happy one, food was excellent and nothing was to much trouble. Thanking Mel, Cem and both sons Emre & Khan once again for all that you do in making our holiday a lovely one, see you all soon and to all that haven't been to Turkey get these flights booked, you wont be dissapointed. Me my partner and our three children visited Poppy apartments on the 26th of August 2016,Poppy apartments are clean and tidy, maids come in every other day to change the bedding and towels, rooms are spacious, Mel and her two sons are a credit to these apartments as they can't do enough for you, Mel's home cooked food is fabulous they bbq nights are a must as the food was out standing especially the chicken, pool area is clean and tidy,shops is only a five minute walk away, beach is a 10 minute walk away. Definitely I will be visiting these apartments next year and booking direct with Mel.
