We‘ve stayed at Paul Marie Hotel for 2 weeks. While the pictures of the room look clean and spacious, the room is quite small, especially the bathroom. No space for toiletries except for the sink itself. Also the space between the toilet and the shower wall is quite narrowing. That’s the „we could’ve lived with it“ part. The worst part was the cleanliness. Already the lobby smelled like old frying oil - not so inviting. The place is just disgusting, in fact the room was not clean when we arrived. Besides the calcified shower and sink area, the mirror and the entire floor as well as the shower box were totally smeary. The rooms are „cleaned“ 5 times per week, but honestly we had the impression that the dirt was only shoved from left to right. One time we found the bathroom even dirtier than we‘ve left it behind, i.e. there were stains on the toilet seat of the pink cleaning agent that was used (at least we hope it was the cleaning agent) and the lower part of the toilet was suddendly covered with dirt. When we told the guy at the reception about the issue the next day and showed the pictures I took of the toilet (seat and lower part) as well as the sink area (which was also very nasty), he pointed out that the rooms are not cleaned every day but only 5 times a week. I had to convince him that someone was in the room that day and the sheets and towels were exchanged. Only then he took note and the lower toilet area (but not the sink) was cleaned. The place is noisy and everything but soundproof. You can hear everything that‘s going on in the rooms surrounding you, as well as the cleaning staff at 7am noising around in the hallway. Other than that, although the reception is supposedly occupied 24/7, the staff is hardly behind the reception desk. 9 times out of 10 they sit in the outside area or are simply not to be found. If you succeed in getting hold of someone to ask for the room key, you feel like you‘re disturbing them in whatever they‘re doing. While there are a few parking spots available, the staff tells you how you are supposed to place your vehicle. But only after you‘ve parked it. When we parked our Quad on a drawn parking field, an unfriendly staff person came to tell us to park the vehicle in a specific manner - not making sense at all in terms of space-saving for other cars or so. We felt like he came just to annoy us every now and then. Conclusion/reccomendation: Do not book this place!
